When Dr. Lou reviews a filler plan or signs off on a laser protocol, he is evaluating it against a mental model built across thousands of surgical cases — the fat compartments, the retaining ligaments, the vascular territories that a conservative injector never encounters and a careless one does not anticipate. Janet Siddiqi RN

Janet Siddiqi qualified as a nurse in England before completing her boards in the United States — a bicultural clinical education that shaped her approach to patient care as fundamentally conservative: first, do not harm. She has been nursing for over 30 years and has been injecting at HBR since the clinic opened.

What that career builds is judgment — the ability to read when a patient is a good candidate for something, when they are not, and when the “more” they’re asking for would cross a line a less experienced injector might not see. Janet draws that line clearly and explains it kindly. The result is a patient who trusts the process enough to come back for years.
